Most of us have a tendency to overlook the present and wish for the better future instead. When life gives us fair share of our troubles, we tend to complain, cry and we just cannot relax. Instead of accepting the life at present, we look towards a better future.
In other words, we are not coping up with life and expecting everything to magically fall in its place. If you have to seek happiness and keep the faith, seek it now. If you are postponing it for the future, then remember even your next moment is your future. It hasn’t happened yet. You have the control over your present.
Its upto you, your thinking, behavior, actions; you can change them for the better. Even your responses and reaction to certain situations are under your control.
You have the ability to mould your cognition and perspective for the healthier outcome. But as for the future, we have no control over it. Its easy to believe that we can control our future but we cannot. Life moves at its own pace and most of the time we have to go with the flow.
You never know what future holds for you. It is always unpredictable and coincidental. You can work for the better future and hope for the best but at the same time you cannot just neglect your present but it’s sometimes wise not to think about yesterday. Be aware of this moment, who you are, what is your essence? Acknowledge the surroundings and your emotions. Once you are aware of your inner self and your physical being, you have the ability to be in charge.
By living fully in the moment and experiencing life as it moves along, you can actually LIVE life. As they say “add life to your days, not days to your life”. Accept your present situation as it is, if the circumstances are not under your control. You cannot change the environment but you can decide to be happier. Being happy is not easy as it is said to be. Especially when life is not going in your favor, but practice makes one perfect.
Have you ever heard about the phenomena of practicing happiness? Yes it exists and it happens. By trying to be happy, trying to smile and forgiving yourself you can make a change, a tiny one if not a great one but its worth the effort. When you start being happy, a positive energy starts emitting from your body. It attracts more positive energy and people in your life. The circumstances start to change with just the power of your thinking.
Gradually but surely you will start noticing the effects your emotional state and your thoughts have on the surroundings. When you start believing that you are strong, your coping mechanisms are enhanced and it will not matter how tough life gets. It can never break you apart even if at the moment it doesn’t feels like so. Your contentment and happiness is in your own hands don’t give anyone and anything the power to control it.
