Don’t be afraid to say something just because you’re scared of what people are going to say about you. People will judge you no matter what.
I’ve decided to make a list of things that you can do in order to better speak your mind.
The 6 Steps for Speaking Your Mind
1. Understand That You Have the Freedom of Speech
As much as the man standing next to you. Always speak your mind, there’s no point in hiding.
2. Try to Remain Calm No Matter What
As I’ve said before a calm person inspires trust and gets the point across. Remember that people will understand you better if you speak slowly and clearly. Plus, calm people are always perceived as being in control of the situation.
3. Under No Circumstances Do Not Shout
Shouting will always make the person next to you take a defensive stance. Shouting won’t amplify the way people listen to you, in fact it will do the opposite and make them tune out.
4. Always Believe in Yourself
If you are trying to lie or if you don’t believe in what you are trying to say most people will notice. Be confident in what you are saying if you want to get your point across. Even when you are not 100% self confident, acting like you are will make you seem trust worthy.
5. Practice With Your Family and Friends
Practice speaking your mind around your family first and friends afterwards as you gain confidence in others people reactions. It’s always better to start of slowly and speed it up as you gain new levels of trust amongst others.
6. Don’t Feel Intimidated by Agresive People
Most bad people rely on the expectation that other people will feel intimidated by their aggressive attitudes. Most of the time behind those aggressive attitudes stands a bluff and an insecure person. Try to overturn the situation, standing your ground will surely throw them off guard. Don’t let bullies force you into silence, it’s your constitutional right to speak freely and without barriers.
